Ray Tatum
Co-Owner, CEO
Ray Tatum is the Owner and CEO of Mid South Lubricants. Born and raised in Winnsboro, Louisiana, Ray has spent more than 30 years in the industry. He got his start in the mid-90s as a safety engineer at ConAgra in Farmerville, later moving into plant management and eventually into capital sales—a role he’s excelled in for the past 25 years.
Ray holds a Bachelor of Science in Aviation from Louisiana Tech University, with a minor in Industrial Safety & Technology from LSU. What drives him every day is simple: great customer service. He loves nothing more than meeting with customers, finding solutions to their challenges, and ensuring they feel supported. When he’s not working, Ray can usually be found fishing at the family camp in south Louisiana or spending time with loved ones. His goal is clear: to build a thriving, trusted business that continues to grow for years to come.
Tracie Tatum
Co-Owner, CFO
Tracie Tatum is the Co-Owner and CFO of Mid South Lubricants. Originally from Del Mar, California, Tracie describes herself as fun, loyal, and hardworking. For more than 30 years, she’s supported her husband Ray in the business world while also building her own career as a nurse with an associate’s degree in nursing.
What she loves most about her role is connecting with people—meeting customers, listening to their stories, and helping build a company rooted in genuine relationships. Outside of work, you’ll find Tracie fishing at the family camp, traveling whenever she gets the chance, or spending time with her family. Though she jokes that no one should hear her sing, she’s happiest when life is full of laughter, good company, and purpose. Her long-term vision is to grow Mid South Lubricants into something the family can be proud to pass down.
